June’s End of the Month Summary {2014}

This month I was happy about: Teenager getting a job.

This month I was sad because of: Father’s Day and missing my Dad.

Something I accomplished this month was: not much of anything, it doesn’t seem like.

Status on being “healthy”: still nothing.

Something new I did was: walk through a dark tunnel. Post coming soon!

This year I’m going to rate the books & movies. Here’s my rating system:
♥ ♥ = Love it! A must read/see!
♥ = Really good! Highly recommend.
✓ ✓ = Good, not great
✓ = Not much to talk about
X = Awful. Total waste of time

Books I read were: Eat to Live by Dr. Joel Fuhrman &#10003 &#10003 Full of pretty technical information about our bodies and what we eat. Diet is way to extreme for me to even consider. Take home message: Eat more GREEN foods!
Wild by Cheryl Strayed (still reading)
Bread and Wine: A Love Letter to Life Around the Table by Shauna Niequist (still reading)

Movies I watched were:
The Perfect Game &#10003 &#10003
Spy Kids: All the Time in the World ✓ ✓

TV Shows I watched were:
Walking Dead (season 2 & 3 on Netflix)
Scandal (season 2 & 3 on Netflix)
Arrow (season 1 on Netflix)
Orange is the New Black (season 1 on Netflix)
24
Bachlorette
Other random shows…

My favorite song this month was: Happy by Pharrell Williams

What I remember about work was: seeing the happiness from a student that recently got engaged! Oh to be young again…

A lesson I learned this month was: people are selfish!

Some friends and I: had girls night out. Also enjoyed camping with cubscout families and friends.

My favorite pic (not previously posted) that I took was:

Pack29SummerTripNorthCarolina2014-Day2 - 040

I cooked: nothing out of the ordinary that I can remember.

The boys were: busy with summer activities and swimming at the city pool.

My husband was: busy preparing for 2 trips with cub scouts/boy scouts.

The thing I’ll remember most from this month was: time in the mountains with Rob and Monkey.
