I found a journal that I had to do in 7th grade. I’ll never forget my flamboyant, outspoken 7th grade English teacher, Mrs. Talbert. A couple days a week we had an assignment, where we had to write in our journals. Here’s the first assignment, which was entitled: My first day at Richland Junior High (typed without fixing errors)
My first day at Richland Junior High was one of the most confusing days of my life. Remembering what room to go to next, what my next class was, etc. etc. made it more and more difficult. but I did enjoy seeing my old classmates and remember how horible the food tasted. At times, I felt like saying, “I’m finally here!” and other times thinking, “why me?” But after it was time over and the 3:00 bell rang, I was jumping for joy! It was over, and I was thinking “I can’t wait till tomorrow”.
