What great timing! Saturday night before going to bed, I could tell I had some drainage on my throat, but we didn’t have the type of medicine that would really help. Or so I thought. Consequently, Sunday I woke up with a raging sore throat. As Saturday went on I continued to feel not so great. Monday I went to work and ended up just staying at home after my lunch break. Monday night I had a hard time sleeping. Coughing, sore chest, head ache. So yesterday after getting the kids off to school I went to the local Doc in a Box. I didn’t feel like waiting to 8am to call my doctor, for them to be either be closed or tell me they have appointments next week. I was happy that when I got there they had opened early and only had 1 person in front of me. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. That’s pretty unheard of. The doctor said I had bronchitis, which didn’t surprise me, but he also said my flu test came out positive! Now that shocked me. I didn’t feel that bad. So I headed over to campus to get my meds.
All the while, I was worrying about feeling well enough to cook for Thanksgiving! Rob was like, no need to worry, it’s just us and Maria and fam. So you’re getting yourself worked up for nothing. He’s right. It’s just me. I want it a certain way and I worry when I don’t think it’s going to turn out that way. Weird?
Today I’m feeling like I have more energy, so that’s good. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
