My Perfect Pantry by Geoffrey Zakarian is a cookbook written around 50 essential ingredients. These ingredients range from staples such as rice, pasta, and beans to less common items like chickpeas and anchovies. I really wanted to like this book more than I did. It’s a nice looking book with pretty pictures. However when I started analyzing the recipes, I really wouldn’t want to try most recipes in this book. There’s a handful of recipes I’d likely try, so for me that’s just not enough to make a great cookbook. I admire Geoffrey, but this book falls short for me.
I received a copy of My Perfect Pantry from Blogging for Books in exchange for writing an honest review.
