Today after finishing working on the yard, I was outside while my Brother-in-law was grilling out. Earlier that day I was sitting on the bench and had had a bird fly to the little tree behind me. While I was sitting out there with him, it happened again. It made me wander if there was a nest. He peered over and this is what we saw. 1 hatched baby and 2 unhatched. You see, this tree was one that was trimmed with all the yard work we were doing. We wondered if something happened and this bird had to hatch prematurely or if it was normal for egg to hatch before the others. Will keep an eye on it to see when the other birds hatch…

How fun is it to get to know someone through their pinterest, instagram, and blog. Then, think about all the things you discovered about them, go out and buy a few things you think they would like. I know growing up getting mail or better yet a package in the mail just made this girl giddy. So back in May I signed up for the Lovin’ Snail Mail Swap and I got paired with Mariah. Boy, did send me a box to keep me busy this summer!

156.365 {1 Month and No Diet Coke}

One month ago today, I quit Diet Coke and really all sodas for that matter. I went cold turkey from May 5th on. Before that I was weaning myself off, but I knew the caffeine headaches would be brutal. They still were for about 2 1/2 weeks after I quit. Someday I satiated the headaches with a little sweet tea and some days I just took some Tylenol.

So what am I drinking instead? Mostly water, but some juice, milk, lemonade. Honestly, I haven’t really “missed” it like I thought I would. It’s just breaking that habit of ordering one with a meal and trying to figure out what to drink it’s place.
