Good News!

Hallelujah

So the other day, I eluded to the fact that I had some exciting news! Although, it shouldn’t effect my blogging at all, my family will totally benefit from it. My 2nd shift (3pm-12am) shifts are no more!! I am taking on a new role at work, which enables me to be a normal human being and work normal 8-5 hours! Can I get a Hallelujah?

Tiffany & Dad

I am really missing my Dad lately. I was excited to get some pics that my cousin, Tiffany, took in December on a couple different occasions. Here’s one from December 14, 2013 of my Dad and Tiffany.

Dad & Tiffany on December 14, 2013

I just look at this picture and I just still can’t fathom that he is gone. His body is now ashes waiting to be “blowing in the wind” in their final resting place. I just can’t believe that just a few months ago, he was living life, like nothing was wrong, not knowing anything was wrong. I am so thankful he is no longer scared. No longer in pain. No longer tired. God was so good to Dad in allowing his spirit to be set free and to open His mighty arms beckoning him to come Home. God is so good! I know when we grieve (in most cases), it’s selfishness and I know when I see his pictures and I get sad, I get sad for me because, I can’t call him. Next time we go to Texas, we won’t be seeing him. My heart hurts for that, but I know years from now we will meet again and I get giddy just thinking about it and for that I am grateful! Love you, Dad!

Bourbon & Boots Product Review

Recently I was approached by Bourbon & Boots to review one of their products. When I looked at their website, I literally started to drool. You know us, Southerners love nothing more than being southern! And products that flaunt that? Heck ya! I’m all over it.

Deja Vu

Teenager had the opportunity back when he was 9 to start playing mid-season for Auburn Thunder Travel Soccer. It’s like Deja Vu…Just like big brother, Monkey has had the same opportunity. The league decided to open up tryouts in January and Monkey decided to give it shot. He made it, so here we are again! Since Teenager decided not to play travel soccer the last couple of years and just play for the school, we’ve had a nice break from it.

This past weekend was their first weekend in action in a tournament about 40 miles from here.

Since he had a game in the morning and another one in the afternoon, we went to the mall in between games. He informed us before the first game that his cleats were too small, so while at the mall he picked out a new pair.
