We watched Shark Tale as our family movie tonight. Drew had seen some of it already, but he can watch a movie a thousand times and doesn’t care. Then, Rob and I watched Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Well, uhhhh…that was a weird movie! Rob thought it was awful. Me…well, there was something about it that I liked. Not sure what though….

Looking forward to U2!

I’m anxiously awaiting the U2 concert this Saturday! Mr. Mag and I usually go to at least 1 concert a year, but it’s usually Elton John. So it’s going to be exciting to go to a concert other than his. It will be very different I’m sure. I was looking at the these, which only made me more eager! And although I love Bono, The Edge (their guitarist) is my favorite!

Monkey boy

Monkey boy’s vocabulary is growing, finally! A few of his new words are Uh-oh, socks, toes, and the dreaded; MINE! Yes everything is mine, mine, mine! It just cracks me up. He gets so mad when he doesn’t get his way. He sometimes lays out on the floor and screams bloody murder. We’re so bad because we can’t help but bust out laughing. He doesn’t respond too well to that. Last week I took him to the doctor and he’s 27 lbs and 36 inches tall. He’s in the 75th %tile for his age.

WAR EAGLE, Baby!

What an awesome game between Auburn and Georgia tonight! We managed a win. It was quite exciting. Rob and Nick are out rolling Toomer’s Corner* now! WAR EAGLE!

*Toomer’s Corner
Toomer’s Corner is the section between Toomer’s Drugstore and Auburn’s Campus. It is a longstanding tradition for Auburn Fans to rush to the Corner to roll it with toilet paper after an Auburn victory. This is just another way that Auburn fans show their love for “The Loveliest Village On The Plains.” For New Years Eve 1999, a huge celebration called “Toomers 2000” was sponsored by the Auburn Chamber of Commerce. Students, people from the community, alumni, and visitors packed the corner to await the first seconds of the millennium.

What were we thinking?

Uh! Pictures were NOT FUN! Monkey boy was not in a cooperative mood at all. He would hardly even sit in my lap for the family photo. And he sure as heck wasn’t sitting on a stool to take a pic with Monkey boy!! It was quite stressful, but we managed to get a decent family photo. So I guess that’s all that really matter.

A Day Off?

Happy Veteran’s Day! Yah, so I’m off today and what have done since 8 am? Clean, wash clothes, fold & hand clothes, clean, wash clothes, fold & hand clothes! My house is just an absolute mess, but it’s slowly getting there. I’m just ticked I have to spend my day off cleaning it. I did take a break and fix lunch. I looked for a recipe for chicken salad, but came up with nothing that great. So I did some experimenting and came up with this unique recipe.

It made for a tasty treat and something different. Tonight we have pictures, I’ll let you know how that goes.

What to Wear?

Tomorrow we have family portraits. I’m not thrilled about this, but we need to do it. Not only for the church directory but we need a new family portrait! So I’m trying to figure out what we’re going to wear so we don’t clash with each other. Having 4 of us, makes it a bit more difficult. At least I have all day to figure it out thanks to Veteran’s Day Holiday! We’ll see how it turns out.

Ok so we got lucky and it was only one hundred and something! So that’s good since’ve already spent so much.

Ok so the car is now at the OTHER shop and I haven’t talked to Mr. Mag to find out what they said. But knowing my luck it will cost the full $500! I’ll update later.

Cars!

Ok, so I hate dealing with cars when they don’t work! We just shelled out a whoppin’ $850 for powersteering and now they say we’re gonna have to spend another $500 for brakes! ACK!! So much for Christmas 🙁
