Getting ready for Turkey Day

Last night we went to Johnny Carino’s, which was really awesome. Before we went out to eat we purchased all the stuff we need for Thanksgiving. Although, we’re not having Thanksgiving here, I’m doing some sides and Mr. Mag is deep frying the turkey. I’m making my spinach artichoke dip, cream cheese corn, green beans with bacon, and praline sweet potatoes. You can see those recipes here. We’re actually having Thanksgiving on Friday because my BIL has to work tomorrow. We’ll be heading up to the in-laws’ house Friday morning. We’ll be staying the night up there, because on Saturday we’re celebrating Rob’s sister’s birthday.

Today I’ve been cleaning. Isn’t that what I always do on my time off? Yes, yes, it is. πŸ™‚

Sideways

Anyone suffered through the movie, Sideways? Now that was one funky movie. Really weird humor and kind of boring. Never seen a movie talk about wine so much!

4 times in a Row

Yes, Auburn has beat Alabama 4 TIMES IN A ROW!!! Yesterday’s game was awesome. We went to the Bucket Shop Cafe, which had great atmosphere and tons of Auburn fans. We sat outside and watched the game. It was nice going to the concert knowing we had won against our arch rivals! πŸ™‚

U2 Concert

WOW! U2 was really awesome. The stage lights and curtain lights made for neat affects. The guitars were sometimes so loud though that I had a hard figuring out what song they were playing. Hearing Bono sing helped me figure out what song it was. This would have helped:
Set List –
City of Blinding Lights
Vertigo
Elevation
I Will Follow
Still Haven’t Found
Beautiful Day
Original of the Species
Sometimes you CanÒ€ℒt Make it On Your Own
Love and Peace or Else
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Bullet The Blue Sky
Miss Sarajevo
Pride in the Name of Love
Where the Streets Have no Name
One/MLK

Until the End of the World
Mysterious Ways
With or Without You

First Time
Stuck in a Moment
Bad

I had an absolute blast (except for the people 2 rows in front smoking pot and the couple behind us that would NOT shut up!) The band that opened for them was Institute, what used to be Bush. They were all guitar. We could hardly hear Gavin singing, but I did enjoy hearing 2 Bush songs. Side note: I didn’t realize that Gavin Rossdale was married to Gwen Stefani.

The feeling is in the air.

The feeling is in the air. Yes, the chill factor is here, but I’m talking the feeling of Iron Bowl weekend! It’s a once a year feeling like no other. RVs, campers, and other tail-gaters roll in to town and set up all over campus. Traffic seems to quadruple and butterflies start to quiver. There’s not another rivalry quite like that of Auburn and Alabama. Fierce, daunting, and hard-core. Tomorrow the crimson and white vs the orange and blue and sometimes the best team doesn’t always win. There’s just something crazy about this game. You never know what will happen.

For me, I’ll be watching the game from Atlanta, as Mr. Mag and I didn’t realize back in February that we were buying tickets to U2 on the monumental weekend. But we will be watching from The Bucket Shop Cafe and cheering just as loud. I heard it’s a pretty loud & crazy crowd up there every year. It’s THE Auburn place to go in Atlanta on football weekends. So whether you’re going to the game or watching from a far…

Today

Today was one of the most stressful days I’ve had in a long time! I had a special project for my boss and he didn’t give me very long to complete it. It was due today. So I managed to get it done. Yay me!

Besides that the 5th grade went on a field trip today to the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Art to see the Quilts of Gees Bend Exhibit, which was really awesome. The museum itself is beautiful and I’m thinking I’m going to go back see the exhibit on my own time. The kids were awesome. You know the docents are very strict about behavior so we were quite nervous.

Then, this evening TV Boy and Mr. Mag had their enf of the year soccer party. It was held at the team mom’s house. It was really nice. They had a bond fire and cooked hot dogs out and we all pitched in with the sides. They cooked smores for dessert. Then, Mr. Mag handed out trophies. Even though it was really cold, everyone had a good time.

Now, I’m enjoying some peace and quiet as everyone except Rosie and I are in bed! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh πŸ˜‰

Sexiest Man Alive?

Matthew McConaughey Named Sexiest Man

For me no way, especially in the pics they have of him on that news article! For me, I think the sexiest celebrity is:

Josh Duhamel

What about you?
