Thirteen Things about 2005 by Magnolia Mom

1. We went to the Sugar Bowl, possibly the last Sugar Bowl to be played at the Superdome.
2. We saw U2 in concert.
3. We went and saw Riverdance at the Fox Theater in Atlanta.
4. We stayed at the Ansley Inn that weekend.
5. We had a whirlwind Texas Trip – Cedar Creek Lake, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Houston.
6. We went to Schlitterbahn.
7. I got my own URL!
8. My family got thier own URL also!
9. My favorite Christmas gift was a digital video camera.
10. My kids were a lion and a scary skeleton for Halloween.
11. I watched Rachael Ray almost every night!
12. I went to the movie theater only 2 times this year.
13. We rented quite a few movies though.

Exhausted!

I’m so tired. Today was a productive day! Yes, I say that with excitement because this week I’ve done pretty much…nothing. So today I had to get up early and take TV Boy to the dentist. He HATES going to the dentist, but he survived it and had NO cavities! Yay! They did say in 6 months when we go back they’ll probably have to pull some teeth, because he has lots of crowding going on. He will need braces regardless, but the pulling of teeth will help “cut the cost” when it does come time. The cost of braces will be coming straight out of OUR pockets so I’ll do whatever to help the cost go down.

This is Priceless

Ok, so TV Boy or Mr. Mag usually feed the dog. We have a big rubbermaid container at the bottom of the pantry where we keep her food. We keep a plastic cup in there to pour the food into the bowl with. So tonight I’m just sitting here and I hear the clanging of dog food in the metal bowl. I look to my left and see Mr. Mag and TV Boy sitting on the couch. I look to my right in the kitchen and see Monkey boy feeding the dog! How cute is that! And now that I’ve typed this he has gone back and forth about 10 times (because there’s not a lot of the food in the container so he’s having to scrape it from the bottom)! These little things make being a mom priceless!

Kids and stuff

Monkey Boy has been sick for the last few days. I finally broke down and took him to the doctor today so that he’ll be all better when it’s time for him to go back to daycare. He’s got deep congestion, cough, runny nose. He also has an ear infection. (We saw Dr. T today…hoowee…I forgot how hot he is.) Oh anyway…so we got some medicine and he should be good to go in a few days.

And did I mention that now after a week home with the kids, that they are driving me nuts? If I hear “I’m boooooored!” again, I might die! Even though TV boy got all this cool stuff for Christmas he’s still bored! Ugh! Children!! Mr. Mag is home all this week too and I just found out we’re having a company from Atlanta tomorrow. SOoooooo…I better get my butt in gear and clean this house!

Besides spending hours on that we’ve been catching up on all the TV we’ve had stored up on the DVR. Now we’re watching a movie called 12 Dogs of Christmas that my Dad got the boys. It’s written by a 14 year old girl and it’s not bad!
