Your Song

Today I took TV Boy to the AU Baseball game. Each player has a song they pick to be played each time they come up to bat throughout the season. The girls in front of us were having a conversation about the song they would have played if they had to pick a song to get them motivated or pumped up. It’s also a song that we quickly learn to associate with that player. Even after the season is over when we hear that song, we’ll automatically think of that player. So it got me thinking, what would my song be? Well, I haven’t decided on one yet. I’m gonna go look through my iTunes and I’ll come back and let you know. What would YOUR song by if you were to pick a song? Remember it would be a constant reminder of you each time other people hear it played! I’m really curious to hear!

Can’t keep up

I guess I’m having a hard time lately keeping up! I’ve been busy doing stuff on Flickr, being overwhelmed at work, being so tired when I get home, and starting to get burnt out! I have a formal observation tomorrow, which I’ll be happy to get over with. I’m just feeling burnt out with life. I think I go through this every year about this time. I’m not sure why. I don’t know how to avoid it. Wish I had more exciting things to say…

February 7th. Yes, and that means in exactly 1 month Monkey boy will be 2 years old! Where HAS the time gone? It is mind boggling. I just can’t believe it. I need to start planning for his little party. Any ideas on a theme would be great! Thanks

My little rubber ball

Today I woke and felt fairly normal, so I headed back to work. I left TV Boy home with Mr. Mag, who worked from home. TV Boy was still so sick last night we figured there was not way he could handle going back to school today. When I got home TV Boy was bouncing around like a little rubber ball. Needless to say he’s feeling much, much better! 🙂

SICK!

Oh my…last night TV Boy came and woke me up and said he had thrown up. Not long after that my stomach started to hurt bad and I couldn’t sleep. He kept throwing up in my bathroom, which didn’t help me trying to sleep. I was feeling so nauseous. We both took some Phenegrin, only to keep throwing up. I finally barfed, but it made me feel quite a bit better. I was able to sleep. I figured for sure we’d be staying home. When I got up this morning I felt better, my stomach didn’t have that tied-in-a-knot feeling at first. I woke TV Boy up and asked how he was feeling. He said he felt better, so I decided we needed to try and eat something small. When we were looking in the pantry, my stomach-tied-in-a-knot feeling came back and I felt nauseous again. Then, TV Boy ran in the bathroom and threw up again. So I decided we needed to stay home. Surprisingly, he was like, I don’t want to stay home! So today we’ve slept a lot and I’ve been able to keep everything down. Unfortunatly TV Boy didn’t keep the sandwhich down, so he has to stick to crackers and sprite. I called the pediatrician and they said there’s a virus going around, which could last 5-7 days! WHat? That’s crazy! They said not to bring him in until he was running a high fever or if he had blood in his vomit. Nice…real nice…

New babies!

Today I called my mom, who I don’t talk to but every couple of months. I called to see if my brother’s girlfriend had had the baby yet. She’s actually due Monday, February 6. So I’m so excited for them. I can’t wait to hear all about him and hear his name.

This past week, I was shocked to find out that Mr. Mag’s youngest sister, who got married in June, is expecting in September! Wow!

Rob’s older sister is having a baby boy in March, so we’re going to have all sorts of new nephews and maybe a neice!

What a Great Weekend!

Sorry I’ve been MIA, but this past week has been hectic. Friday we had an Auburn Diamond Club banquet. Then, my dad, who I haven’t seen since 2002 came to visit and I was really excited that he was able to come. We enjoyed the beautiful weather by walking around on campus while showing him around. We ate lunch at Chappy’s Deli and dinner at Cock of the Walk. Today we just hung out here and then we made homemade pasta for dinner. The boys really enjoyed seeing him. Monkey Boy has never seen him and TV Boy didn’t remember him. He lives in Colorado and works all the time. Every year when we go to Texas he tries to come there and see us. He’s just been busy the last few years.

So my dad just left and is heading down to Jacksonville, FL and then to Cocoa Beach, where he lived for a few years. I’m just so sad that he couldn’t stay longer and that we can’t see him more often. If I ponder on it too long I’ll cry, so I’m gonna go. I’ll post pictures later.
