ANOTHER baby in the family today…

Mr. Mag’s sister had another boy:
Rowan Cole
7 lbs. 6 oz.

That makes 3 nephews!!!

Decisions: 5th to 3rd

This is really for me, but I decided to go ahead and post it. My boss told me today that he was going to have a 3rd and 4th grade position open for next year. He’s planning on opening those up to the faculty for anyone who feels like changing grades. I told him I would think about it. I’ve been thinking before he even mentioned it, wondering if that’s something I should do. So these are the pro/cons for if I were to move from 5th to 3rd:

Pros

  • less students
  • no writing test
  • less grading
  • more flexibility
  • can do centers and ‘fun’ stuff
  • less disrespect
  • won’t have to deal with a lot of other daily ‘garbage’

    • Cons

  • different coworkers
  • won’t get to have Ms. B as a teacher aide
  • won’t get to work as a team
  • no ‘fun’ day
  • I won’t get to teach a coworker’s daughter

    Prayers for another Blogger :-) **Sticky**

    Snazzykat, who is one of my newest bloggers that I read, is due to have a baby boy, Sammy, any time now. As any expecting mom would be she is very anxious to give birth, but probably even more so because Sammy has a serious congenital heart defect, HLHS. He will need open heart surgery soon after birth. Even though I haven’t met her in person, I think and pray for her everyday.

    Please pass this on, even if you don’t read her blog, prayers can only help!

    I’m so excited…I can’t even type!!

    One of my best friends from high school, Katie, has been trying to get pregnant for a quite a long time. She finally made the decision to have in vitro and it worked!!!!! She’s pregnant with twins and is due in October! So one of my predictions for 2006 has come true! I just wish I lived closer to her. It’s things like this that really make me miss being in Texas!

    Anyway…Let’s give a big Congratulations to Katie and Cody!!!

    My brother’s girlfriend, Stephanie, had their baby last night at 1:20. He was 6 lbs. and something. My mom said he has tons of hair. They’re in Texas and I’m not, which makes me sad. My sister and mom watched the birth. That’s a great experience for my sister, who wants to be a nurse. Anyway, so I’m going to be anxiously awaiting pictures through snail-mail. Oh yah and his name is Jaquin Keith Reed.

    All these babies and I CAN’T hold ANY of them!!!

    Babies, Babies, Babies!

    There are new babies all over! Rob’s cousin had a baby girl yesterday. Snazzykat had her baby boy today! My brother’s girlfriend is being induced as I type this. Rob’s sister is due any day now!! Not to mention countless other bloggers poppin’ babies out or about to be! WOW!! All these babies are making me want another one.

    Do I have to?

    Tomorrow I’m really not looking forward to. At. All! I am taking a half day because I have to go for my MRI for my neck. My appointment is at 1:45, but I have to get there at 1:15. I already pre-registered, so I don’t know why I have to go early. Anyway, the thought of going in to a long dark tube is not too thrilling. But, on the other hand, it will be worth it, if they are able to narrow down why I keep having all this pain and fix it!

    I’ll let you know how it goes.
