Tell us about one of your childhood memories.
I remember riding my bike to friends’ houses and feeling so free. I loved the cool breeze on my face. I had 2 friends who I would go see. We would stay at their houses and play or we’d come over to my house and play. I wish I could feel that free as an adult.

If you could extend any of the four seasons to be twice as long as normal, which season would you want to lengthen?
Summer, because I get to stay home with my boys!

New TV Addiction

For those of who know me well, know that I’m a reality TV addict! So the other night, I watched Next Food Network Star. I didn’t watch the first season so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But, I’m totally hooked now! I set the DVR to record the entire season. Watching the 2nd episode, I was so shocked to see all the preparation and work that goes into 1 episode of a cooking show. I was also surprised that they tape it live with no stops. If you mess up, oh well, you gotta keep going. Not only do you have look and talk good and make since, but your food has to look and taste good! Anyway, I think that Guy Fieri will win. He’s really good in front of the camera and the judges really liked his recipe.

Spring Break

Ok, why is it that work weeks creep by, but spring break flies by in the blink of an eye? It’s Wednesday already! Yes, I’m sorry for those of you who work year round and I know I’m lucky to have off when I do. I just can’t help it. I’m dreading going back to work, because for 2 straight weeks the kids will be taking the SAT10 and the ARMT. Yuck!

Normally when I have a day off here or there I spend it cleaning, washing, you know all that fun stuff called house work? So I told myself I wouldn’t spend the week cleaning. In fact, I haven’t done hardly anything around the house except washing clothes, which isn’t optional.

Last Saturday we started working on this awful flower bed area in our backyard that was horrendous! Weeds, overgrown bushes, poison ivy, other thorny vines. Yah, it was bad. We got it pretty much cleared out and this week I’ve done some work on it by myself since Mr. M has had to work. We went to Lowes and got some stuff we want to plant. We still need to get border, ground cover, and potting soil. I’ll be sure to post a pic when we’re done.

The picture above is a tree in our backyard that has pretty purple blooms.

1st Real Haircut at the Barber Shop

Here’s Monkey Boy after having his first real haircut at the Barber Shop. He watched his Daddy and big brother get a haircut. When it was his turn, he sat up there. He didn’t utter a sound. He sat still. He was perfect! TV Boy threw a royal fit the first time he went there. I think having a big brother to watch first helped MB know everything was going to be ok.

Can’t believe it!

I’m so excited again! My friend Katie, who was having twins found out it’s TRIPLETS!!! 2 identical and 1 singleton. One of the eggs split and waalaa THREE instead of TWO! I told her she’s going from having no kids to 3 kids and have more kids than me! How crazy is that! I wish her all the best and I look forward to seeing her in July.
