Ok, yall! You got so quiet now that I had to make it necessary to login before commenting. It makes me sad not to hear from yall. I guess I’ve been quiet too, so maybe that’s it. I tried looking for a new plugin to replace the captchas I’m currently using, but couldn’t find anything that looked like it would do much good. Depends on time of the year it is. During the school year, I’m teaching, picking up my kids, and taking them places. During the summer, I’m watching TV, playing with my kids, and just hanging out.

My Dad recently decided he was going to treat me to a new camera. He told me to pick out what I wanted and let him know. I picked out the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT! It is so awesome! He had actually just got the same camera and I played around with it while I was with him and seemed pretty awesome. I also got another lense to go with it; the Canon ef-s 60mm f/2.8 macro. I’m a bit overwhelmed by all the features and settings, but I’ll figure it all out! I think I took like 200 pics in the first couple hours after getting it! I narrowed it down to 99. Tonight I took TV Boy over to the empty parking lot near our house to work on riding a bike. My Dad worked with him a few weeks ago when he was in town, so I was curious to see if could pick up wear he left off. At first, it was quite dreadful. He wanted to practice in the grassy area where my dad had worked with him. After a few tries, I told him it would be smoother over on the concrete. So we moved over to the hard top and I was actually pretty nervous. I thought for sure he’d end up falling over and skinning up his knees and that he’d want to quit immediately. To my delight, that didn’t happen. After a few tries and talking about how to keep his balance, he was off to the races. I actually got scared the first time he took off across the parking lot, thinking I didn’t know if he’d be able to stop or not. I envisioned him running into the tree or the bench that he was headed straight for! Luckily, he just put his legs down and let the bike fly from underneath him. Not the best choice, but still better than running into something. After that we worked on coasting, braking, and turning.
Truthfully, I was scared to death when I took him out there. I didn’t know what I was going to do if he couldn’t pick up where he left off with my dad. My dad is an avid cycler, who’s taken lots of classes on mountain biking, etc. which I think helped him show TV Boy some different ways of working on balance. When TV Boy took off and went more than a couple feet, I was so excited. I had to refrain from jumping up and down like some star-crazed cheerleader at a football game. Instead, I just hollared and tried to keep him thinking about what he was doing. We worked on it for about an hour and he got better and better each time. So exciting!

Hey everybody!
I guess I’ve kind of been gone! After being gone for 10 days, I spent Monday doing laundry, uploading pics, and all that stuff you do after being on vacation. Yesterday I worked in my classroom and then was so exhausted I just vegged. Today worked in the classroom, took my kids to my in-laws, and then Mr. Mag and I had kid-free time! I guess it’s that part of the year I get so wrapped up in getting ready for the new school year and making sure I’m prepared. I kind of have to put other things aside. Tomorrow I’m working in my classroom pretty much all day, or a least that’s my plans. I need to get my pics up from our Texas Trip soon.
And yes, you still have to be logged in to comment. The spammers continue to slam me everytime I try to switch it back. ACK!
My On Demand is working again so I watched The Wedding Date. Yes, another chic flick which rocked! Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney were great. She’s beautiful and he’s, well, we’ll just say hawt!
