Struggles with Believing

Yes, Drew is at the age where his friends are letting it be known that they don’t believe in Santa. Drew is really struggling to believe in him. He was questioning everything today about Santa. Even though we told him last year that most of the Santa we see are just his helper, he still days well why does the REAL Santa come to our mall? I did the best I could to explain, but he continued to say things like “Well, I just don’t know why we don’t get to see Rudolph” or “How does he get all over the hour in 12 hours?” I just continued to say it’s all magical and it’s really hard to understand. Christmas Rush Poem
(sung to the tune of Jingle Bells)

Dashing from the mall,
with groceries yet to buy
lessons, work and housecleaning
life is so crazy. Why?

Bells on my phone ring,
the machine will take the call,
I have no time for family or friends,
it drives me up the wall.

How are you? How’s your life?
I really want to know.
I’d love to chat and hear the news,
but please don’t talk too slow.

A day or two ago;
I thought I’d make a treat,

Christmas Ramblings (Part 2)

Well, I got everything done with newsletters and packages today. I also got some other gifts wrapped.

We had our work party today. It seems that everytime I make something to contribute to the party food, it never gets eaten. It just makes me not want to contribute. We had like 20 desserts, but that’s what I was supposed to bring. Oh well! Anyway, it turned out that my secret pal who I had had me too, which I was pretty sure that was the case. He seemed to be really shocked that I was his secret pal. I think that it Someone had a part in this. I’m just waiting to see how that pans out.

Tomorrow is the last day until the new year! We have our Christmas parties tomorrow. Up until this year we had half days before big holidays like this, but our state won’t allow that anymore. I’ll have to find some way to suffer through it.

Christmas Ramblings…

So last weekend we went and got our Christmas tree. I’ll post pictures as soon as I get through with all the rush of the next couple of days. I was trying to get a package mailed out today, but I didn’t! I also haven’t finished our Christmas newsletter yet…Yes! It’s true. I hope to have those out tomorrow if I can finish them tonight, get them printed tomorrow, in the envelopes, sealed, stamped and dropped off! Luckily we got our shopping done yesterday, so we just have a couple things to pick up for the kids. I have my work Christmas party tomorrow and still need to wrap my Secret pal gift. I still need to get a few gifts for a couple other people. I have to work till Wednesday.

I’ve been tagged

And I feel so special 🙂

Dana from Southern Gal Goes North tagged me. I never get tagged so it kind of made my day. Anyway, I’m supposed to disclose 5 things you don’t know about me. So here ya go:
1. I want to paint a Alex’s room (when we move into the new house) with a mural to go with his room’s theme, transportation. I’m in the process of planning it.
2. I’m thinking of learning to use an airbrush and do the mural in airbrush.
3. Yes, I do have some artistic ability.
4. I’ve also been planning how I want to paint the other rooms in the new house and where I want the furniture and stuff like that. Can you tell I’m consumed with wanting to sell this house and move to the new one? 🙂
5. Hmmm…I’m trying to think of something that doesn’t have to do with moving that you don’t know about me. Oh, here’s something. I drove a ’71 Ford LTD in high school. It was a peachy-yellow color and my friends called it the Banana Boat.

Frustration! (over stupid stuff)

I’m just venting, so beware. I’ve been trying to figure out how to do a new skin/template thingy and I screwed something up so if you try to change the skin you have to do it twice for it to change. I think I’m taking a break from that for now, but maybe not.

Also, I’ve been wanting to upload all my pics from thanksgiving, but I can’t find the cable so I haven’t been able to and that is really frustrating me!! BIG TIME!! I guess I’m going to have to go buy another one even though I have 2 of them.

I haven’t been in the mood lately to write, so I haven’t been. I’m trying to decide if I want to take a conscious break from this blog and reading blogs, etc. I love blogging and I really love reading blogs, but I think sometimes I think about it too much. It’s frustrating me.
