How do you usually celebrate on New Year’s Eve?
We usually watch the ball drop on TV and have senseless desire to be shivering with the thousands of people partying up in Time Square to welcome in the New Year. Someday we’ll do that!

Name one thing unexpected that happened to you in 2006.
We decided to sell our house.

Where was your favorite place that you visited in 2006?
We didn’t really go anywhere exciting this year, so I’d have to say visiting the house we want was my favorite place.

What resolution is your top priority for 2007?
Good ole standby, lose weight:-) Maybe some day I’ll actually stick with a resolution.

Christmas Eve Adventure

As you can see Alex got his foot stuck Christmas Eve, while trying a new kind of cookie we had made for Santa. At first we tried to just squeeze it out. Then, we tried to take the back of the chair off. We were thinking we were going to have to break or saw part of the chair to get it out. But then I had him turn and get back on his knees and were able to squeeze it out. Just a little adventure before putting out the cookies for Santa and getting tucked in for the long sleepless night!

Stuff with Invisible Legs!

It seems that each year after Christmas everything we give or get for Christmas has invisible legs. What I mean by that is that as hard as I try, there is Christmas gifts everywhere. I try to find a home for all the new toys, DVDs, books, clothes, and whate ever else. But I feel as though as soon as I put it down the invisible little legs pop out and they find their way back to the middle of living room floor! As much as I want someone to come look at the house, it’s probably a good thing no one has come since Christmas, because it just hasn’t been pretty! I worked along time today on getting this place presentable. We’ll be gone tomorrow and we need to have the house looking good in case we have people come look at it.

Anyone else have stuff everywhere after Christmas?

Thirteen Things about 2006
1. Drew had his first sleep over party for his 8th birthday.
2. My Dad came to visit.
3. Drew joined the Cub Scouts.
4. I got a new camera, a Canon Rebel.
5. Alex turned 2!
6. We went on 2 family campouts. My first time to sleep in a tent since my toddlerhood.
7. Drew caught a snake (and it bit him!)
8. My kids were Darth Vader and Elmo for Halloween.
9. My favorite Christmas gift was all the books I received.
10. I became an aunt, with a new nephew and a new niece!
11. We put our house up for sale.
12. We spent Thanksgiving in Spring Hill, FL.
13. We got a new 30-something inch flat screen TV!

Post Christmas

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday! We were busy up at Mr. Mag’s Mom & step Dad’s. It was a good day. I’m in the process of listing every we got, mainly for nostalgic reasons (not to bore you). One of the things that was on my wishlist was the book, No One Cares What You Had for Lunch: 100 Ideas for Your Blog. I’m really excited about. I’ve started reading it and I’m coming up with some new stuff to say and not what I did each day;-).

My 2006 Predictions

Did my 2006 Predictions happen?

10 on Tuesday – 2006 Predictions
1. My friend, Katie, will get pregnant. – Yes, and she has 3 healthy girls now.
2. Monkey Boy will be potty trained by the end of the year. – Uhhh…no! (Haven’t pushed it)
3. Mr. Mag and I will go on a great trip together! – No
4. I will be healthier at the end of the year, because I will exercise and eat better. – No
5. My pinched nerve pain will be resolved. – It’s better, but not ‘resolved’.
6. I will train myself to be more patient. – Uhhh…no!
7. I will reach 500 blog entries by the end of the year. – Yes
8. I will make drinking water a habit. – No
9. I will make some great iMovies. – Yes!
10. I’ll be successful at preparing children for middle school. – Yes
