Here’s Johnny Girl at the old ballpark. Finding an old Mountain Dew bottle near the fence kept her busy for nearly an hour! She loved it.

As you have noticed (if you’ve actually visited from your readers) that after years of having the same blog theme that I’ve absolutely loved, I decided to take the plunge and try something different. This is a really different feel. I’ve got plans for my blog, although, those plans probably won’t be able to be put into effect for awhile. We shall see.
Buuuttt….while I was trying to figure out what I was going to do I found some cool tools, I thought I’d share. Color Schemer is a neat tool to help with color schemes, obviously. I could see even using this for things other than the web! Check it out!
While looking for unique backgrounds I found Pattern Cooler, which is another awesome site. Tons of different patterns and you can alter the colors. Really cool, really fun. I love stuff like that!
Then, this evening I don’t even remember what I was doing, but I came across Kevin and Amanda’s site, which is a fun blog with awesome free fonts among other things. What’s even cooler is when I was looking through their free fonts, I saw the Auburn font. Of course, this got my curiosity up, wondering if it had to do with Auburn University or something else. After looking around a little I found Kevin got his under grad degree from AU! War Eagle!
Anyway, just wanted to share those cool links that I found. Let me know what you think of the new layout. I am in the process of adding stuff and messing with some stuff so if something looks wonky with it try again after a few minutes to see if it gets fixed.
This first picture is of TV Boy when he and I flew to Texas without Rob, because we were going for an extended stay.

Here he is with my cousins at the lake.

This is from 2002 when we went to Texas and spent a day at the lake.
2002
We also went to The Ballpark

This is Monkey Boy’s first trip to Texas in 2004.
2005 was another great 4th at the lake with my Uncle and his family.
In 2006, we went to Texas and enjoyed some time at the Stockyards.
We of course spent time with family.
2007 was our first year in our new house, so we didn’t make it to Texas. Here’s my niece at our neighbor’s block party.

This year we just hung out at the house and went down to the neighbor’s for a block party dinner and swimming. Then of course to see fireworks that evening.

Lake Martin is a beautiful lake located in about 40 miles from Alabama’s capital, Montgomery and about 100 miles from Alabama’s biggest city, Birmingham.
The weather was actually nice and breezy and it wasn’t humid!
TV Boy’s friend showing his guns
We enjoyed some time in the water working up quite an appetite for lunch. Our friends lake house is close to Niffer’s on the lake, so that is where we satiated our hunger problem.
Then, it was back to the water for some more fun and sun.

We love the F@rrows! Thanks guys!

Original – “Most Beautiful Gift”
Here’s my fixed photo. I cropped it and increased the vibrance on the background. Sharpened the pic and then used a Coffeeshop Action called Honey Retro.
Last week Drew spent his first week at camp. He went away to Boy Scout Camp in North Carolina; Camp Daniel Boone. I always loved getting stuff while away at camp, so I had a lot of fun writing letters and packaging up little things to send him. Put a mark next to “Good Mom” deeds. 🙂
On the packing list was of course a laundry bag. I found this in the $1 department at Target.
I also found camp postcards, stationary & envelopes, and stickers in the $1 section. The other stuff I picked up while I was there to send to him.
Here’s one of the postcards that was in the book of postcards that I sent to him. I tore out some other post cards to send with him a long with the camp stationary.
Having boys means that I have tons of fun pics. I had a couple old pics in mind and I decided to go with this one. It will be a great one to show at his wedding reception someday! 🙂

The wedding pic I chose is from my wedding, which was way back when and hence, taken with film. The scanned pics aren’t that great, but this is one that people love including me. I never planned to put cake in his face, but it’s just one of those things. As you can see, he got me back pretty good!
