63/365.2011 {Nature's Heart}

Today we went for a walk over to the school. We took the trail from the basketball courts to the playground. I took this picture originally for the the curly Q, but when I uploaded it I couldn’t believe my eyes. How cool is this heart? It would have been awesome to have that as my heart picture, but I already posted a heart yesterday.

Click here to see a few other pictures I took today from our walk. There’s even a couple of my boys! Because of my work schedule, I don’t get to see them much, so pictures of them lately are few and far between.

This silly ring was given to me by Monkey a few weeks ago. I stuck it in a pocket of one of my hoodies. Every time I put my hand in my pocket, I feel it and think of him. It warms my heart.

Took this picture on my way home last night (just after midnight). I’ve been inspired by others to do a picture of traffic lights in pure bokeh. I had my windshield wipers going, which weren’t doing a great job and need to be replaced. BUT, that made for some cool texture in the bokeh.

40/365.2011 {“We Love Cam”}

We Love Cam

Yes, it’s another Auburn Football related post, but you know winning the National Championship is something most fans don’t get to see their Alma Mater do in a lifetime. I took these 2 pictures today while Rob and I went to meet some friends downtown for lunch. Living in the college town and working at the university just makes it that much more enjoyable. I drive through down town at least once a day on my way to work and had seen the valentine hearts that said “We Love Cam” and then later realized the entire window display was dedicated to him. I love seeing little daily reminders of the success that our football team saw this past year and Cam was a big part of it. No, he wasn’t the entire team. He had a great line to protect him and a defense that pulled them through some times of dire straights! I profess that I am not a hardcore football fan, but I love my Alma Mater and will always be “All In” just like the sign shows below says.

Who doesn’t love whip cream? I mean, seriously. I was trying to decide what to do for my “valentine” pic and while I was at the store earlier decided I’d treat myself to come whip cream and use it to spell out valentine. I also picked up one of my favorite objects to take pictures of and that’s good ole Conversation Hearts. You will be seeing more of those later this week in celebration of Valentine’s Day coming up. I added a few of the hearts around for a little color.

37/365.2011 {Warmth}

Oh, the weather this winter has just been so cold. I think the last 3 years’ winters have gotten colder and colder. We really enjoy our fireplace and have really needed it. I am so thankful for Rob and Teenager who are such awesome fire makers. I’m also very thankful for our friend Tony, who helps out with the firewood. Rob goes out to Tony’s house once or twice a year to help cut down trees, chop them, split them. Some for Tony and some for us!
