31 Days of Must Read Cookbooks {Day 1}

I’m taking part in the 31 days challenge this year. As a collector of great cookbooks, I decided to share 31 must read cookbooks. Some of these books will be books that are part of my collection that I have found useful through the years, while others are books I come across in the library.

Today I’m featuring The Versailles Restaurant Cookbook by Ana Quincoces that just came out last month. This book actually came across my desk at work today. The bright colors caught my eye immediately. I put it the side so I could give it a glance. I flipped through the pages and absolutely loved the pictures and layout.

Dad’s Birthday

Today is my Dad’s 62nd birthday. Although, he is not on Earth to celebrate it, I know he is cycling pain and care free in Heaven, then finishing up the day with a few beers. I may drink a couple myself for you, Dad. Cheers!

In the mean time, I’ll be looking through pictures, enjoying the memories.

September’s End of the Month Summary {2014}

This month I was happy about: Teenager having a date for homecoming.

This month I was sad because of: my Granny is really sick.

Kent-ography::Week 28

Kent-ography is a weekly tribute to my Dad, who lost his battle with ALS in December 2013. I wanted to feature some of his awesome photography, or as I like to call it “pics my Dad took.”

Today I am closing out this series of photos my Dad took. That’s not to say that they won’t make their way to the blog here and there. I’m still going through photos and I know my brother has pics that I don’t have.

Fall Bucket List 2014

Fall is my favorite season, so I’m so happy that it’s finally official! I’ve enjoyed getting inspiration from boards on pinterest and bloggers sharing their fall bucket lists, like the one from Adventure Mom and Love of Life . Kids Acitvties blog also had a great list of things to do with family during the fall.
