This popcorn you see here is what Teenager hopes to sell. It has not been sold yet. It’s called Show & Sell, where he can deliver the popcorn on the spot as it’s sold. Convenient for our customers and time saving for us so that we don’t to go to each house twice.

Today talking about 9 loves. I’m thinking outside the box for this one…
1. A clean house. You just don’t even know how much I cherish the times that my house is clean, organized, and clutter free. It’s amazing how I just feel so much better about life when I have a clean house.
2. Clean sheets. I love sliding into bed with soft, clean sheets. So inviting.
3. Being worry-free. When everything is on the up and up, and there is nothing wrong or negative in my life, I can feel happy. I can go about my day and not have that lingering “issue” in my head. Life is so much easier when I don’t have to worry.
4. Chocolate. Chocolate can make anything better….
5. Food Network Channel. I watch hours and hours of Food Network. It never gets old.
6. My College Students. I love being the supervisor for the students who work in my department. As much as some of them can be pains and not take anything seriously, they are a blast to work with. They keep me young at heart.
7. Close Friends. I thrive on friendships. I enjoy adult time, away from work, away from all the worries of life. I enjoy being able to vent to someone other than my husband.
8. Late night conversations. Pretty much simply put. Sitting Indian Style just yackin’ it out. Fun times.
9. My job. I’m in the 4th month of my job and I just love it. There are so many levels of the job that are great. To name a few; my college student workers, my boss, my job duties, listening to college student conversations, being around academia, the smell of coffee on 2nd floor that comes from the coffee shop, having a job that is virtually stress-free, and the list goes on……
These clorox wipes are awesome. See the table that hasn’t been cleaned for several days? Yep, with one easy wipe it was clean. Now if I can just get the boys to wipe down the table after every meal!
So I am still swamped with many projects that I have not been able to wrap up, but I’m hoping by next week many of those will be closer to being complete. Very ready for that! So in the mean time, I found this “10 Day You Challenge” that I’m going to try and do. So for the 1st post, I’m to tell you about 10 secrets….WOW! I’m not sure I have 10 secrets to tell, but I’ll see what I can do.
1. I was trying to look back to see if I’ve ever talked about this before here and I can’t seem to find where I’ve told you, so here goes. My 1st concert was to see the New Kids on the Block! Yes, as much as I cringe with that sad fact, it is true. It was really awesome though. My aunt and uncle got me a ticket for Christmas and I got to ride in a stretch limo to the concert. It was a fun night.
2. While in college, I got revenge by egging a car. That is so not like me at all, but it was so much fun and very vindicating. DISCLAIMER: I would never condone this behavior though.
3. My freshmen year in high school, I used to get in trouble by one of the assistant principals for PDA! **blush**
4. Growing up I never understood why girls were not supposed to call boys. Being raised by my Grandparents, I seriously thought that was just a really old fashion custom. I felt that in the 1990’s it wasn’t a big deal for girls to call boys.
5. So to go a long with #4, I called boys all the time!
6. I used to get SO angry at my Grandmother when she would ask me to do extra chores. I was usually pretty good about not talking back, but when I would turn the vacuum on I would yell not nice things. However, she couldn’t hear me because the vacuum was so loud.
7. I sometimes wonder if I would have a better relationship with my cousins if I wasn’t raised by my grandparents. This could end up being a blog post in itself, but to put it shortly, my grandparents were ‘blinded’ by me being the Granddaughter that they were raising and really wanted to have nothing to do with my cousins. So that negated the time that I could have spent with my cousins.
8. I can’t stand looking in the mirror at myself. I used to always take a quick glance when walking by a mirror. Now I make sure to turn my head. When I see pics of myself I can’t believe that’s the way I actually look.
9. Most of the time, I can’t stand talking on the phone. I don’t know why it’s just something I dread. I would much rather text, chat, or email, at least that way I can formulate what I want to say carefully.
10. Sometimes, I miss being the person I used to be. I used to be “not as fat.” I used to be more organized. I used to be anal about keeping a clean house. I used to be sweeter. I used be extremely positive.
So there are my secrets! Feel free to start the challenge and leave a comment so I can come read. 🙂
Here’s a collage of today’s wedding rehearsal. It was held at the Groom’s Parents house. I was very impressed by how Nikki and Chris started the rehearsal off. They thanked everyone for coming and Nikki went around and told everyone’s name. Then, Chris went expressed the need for everyone to get along and basically said that if you have something negative to say to keep your mouth shut! I loved it! The night went very smoothly and after all the details were mulled over and the walking was practiced….several times, we sat down to much needed grub! The food was also prepared by Chris’s parents. We had smoked chicken halves, green beans, chicken & rice, and cobbler.
Other details:
I was sad that my brother and his wife and kids didn’t make it, but I will definitely see them tomorrow at the wedding!
I felt useful when Nikki asked me about the coming down the hill whether or not I thought she should have someone carry her train or if it would be ok to let it free flow behind her. It’s always good to feel that your knowledge and past experiences are respected and appreciated.
Nikki and I discussed the schedule some more and got all the details nailed out and more than likely all that probably won’t matter, because very rarely to wedding days go as planned!
I really enjoyed hanging out with my Dad and having him there. It was pretty cool to hang out with my Mom and Dad before everyone go there. It’s nice to see divorced people who can be civilized and not act like children.
