“2 more songs.
I can make it.
Come on.
Hurry up!
I need to get outta here!”
These are the thoughts that ran through the my head Friday night as I sat through Seussical Musical. It started off with the feeling of just some serious hunger pangs, maybe? I wasn’t sure what it was, but as the play went on it started to turn to nausea. With about 2 more songs left, I decided gum might help get me through to the end. I snapped the gum out of the package, popped it in my mouth, and immediately felt the nausea that was I knew I would not be able to overcome. I slid my way from the middle of the row out to the aisle. I briskly made it to the bathroom, just in time to completely lose it over the toilet.
Needless to say, I got home and things didn’t get better. After a few hours and things just getting worse, I had Rob take me to the ER, where we waited in the waiting room for nearly 2 hours. I spent another couple hours in the ER with an IV and nausea meds.
We got home around 4:30am. The recovery was slow and a weird progression to fever and body aches and then just exhaustion. I didn’t mention that during all of the puking my brains out evidence of it all by being written all over my face with all of my veins in my face getting burst turning my face purple and my eyes bloodshot red. My face is better, but my eyes are not back to normal yet. Slow healing process there.
Oh, so sorry. That sounds awful!
