Emotional Ending Soccer Game

Last weekend Drew’s team played the USC boys from Huntsville. This team suffered a loss on August 31st, when one of their players passed away due to the Swine Flu. In remembrance of him our boys wore wrist bands with his number 18 on it. At the end of the game when shaking hands they handed the wrist bands to the other team. It was quite emotional. After our boys did that, the other team came over to us and shook our hands. The coach also came over and expressed his gratitude for the thought. It was quite emotional. We thought it was fitting the game ended in a tie.

I don’t know what it was, but when I saw the other team put the wristbands on, I got a huge lump in my throat and chills up my spine.
