Dr. Pepper Museum:Waco, TX

On one of our Texas adventures, we were headed from Fort Worth down to Houston, but took a few detours along the way. One of our stops was at the Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco, TX. The museum is housed in the 1906 bottling building, which was turned into the museum in 1989. Now if you’re comparing this to the World of Coke, Dr. Pepper’s got nothing on Coke! However, you will still find this museum to be rich in the history and memorabilia of this most popular drink.

The Museum is housed in the 1906 Artesian Manufacturing and Bottling Company building located in downtown Waco. The 100 year-old building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as the “Home of Dr Pepper.” The Museum receives the support of Dr Pepper Snapple Group and its affiliated bottlers but is not owned or operated by them.

I’ll never forget just before leaving, I took Monkey into change his diaper. Hanging right above the changing table, I saw this:

    I love learning bits of history as I travel. Never knew there was a DR. Pepper museum. My oldest son would love this!

  2. Oh my goodness that sign! That is too much! This looks like somewhere my boy and hubby would like to go…they LOVE DR P! 😀
