WAR EAGLE, Baby!

What an awesome game between Auburn and Georgia tonight! We managed a win. It was quite exciting. Rob and Nick are out rolling Toomer’s Corner* now! WAR EAGLE!

*Toomer’s Corner
Toomer’s Corner is the section between Toomer’s Drugstore and Auburn’s Campus. It is a longstanding tradition for Auburn Fans to rush to the Corner to roll it with toilet paper after an Auburn victory. This is just another way that Auburn fans show their love for “The Loveliest Village On The Plains.” For New Years Eve 1999, a huge celebration called “Toomers 2000” was sponsored by the Auburn Chamber of Commerce. Students, people from the community, alumni, and visitors packed the corner to await the first seconds of the millennium.

  1. I couldn’t stay awake and just now found out they won. It sounded like they were loosing when I last heard anything. I am very glad they won!

Wow!! DH and I are in San Antonio and probably woke up our neighbors in the hotel. I almost had a heart attack those last minutes but that is what to expect in that rivalry. War Eagle!!

Wow, it’s been a long time since I participated in a rolling of Toomer’s corner. The one I remember the most was our 42-41 win over Florida State in Tallahassee 1984. What a party we had at Toomer’s that night!
