January’s End of the Month Summary

This month I was happy about: getting a “Leading Performance (exceeds expectations)” on my 1st end of the year evaluation at my job.

This month I was sad about: Rob being sick.

Something I accomplished this month was: just surviving! I had 2.5 days of Rob in the hospital and 3.5 days of Rob being gone working an Emmaus Walk. Now for many of you, you’re thinking woop-de-do, but my work schedule and the kids’ school schedule don’t jive at all. I’m so thankful for my friends who helped me out during those days.
Something new I did was: photograph a wedding for a non-family member. 🙂

Books I read were: The Hunger Games (Dec. 27-Jan. 16)
The Help (currently reading)

Movies I watched were:
P.S. I Love You
National Treasure

TV Shows I watched were: not too many! I feel like with our crazy business, our lack of all being home together, and the fact a lot of shows having started back up, we didn’t watch that much. We did start watching American Idol.
I watched:
Pioneer Woman
The Kardashians Reruns
Tori & Dean
Alaska State Troopers
Teen Mom 2
….basically lots of trash. 🙂

My favorite song this month was:
Not Over You by Gavin DeGraw
I love the melody in this song as I do with so many of Gavin DeGraw’s songs.

What I remember about work was: the hiring of 13 new student workers for this semester. One of the things I’ve wanted to do is improve the training of our student workers. I’m so happy that the implementation of one-on-one training and continual follow-up and holding them accountable looks to be much more efficient and the retainment of information is greater. We’ve hired some really sweet students that I’m excited about working with this semester and for many semesters to come.

A lesson I learned this month was: that I have friends that I can rely on. I was also reminded to “Let Go and Let God!”

A friend and I: ate at Amsterdam’s Cafe for lunch to celebrate her birthday! Great time.

My favorite pic that I took was:
2012 - 21

I cooked: much of nothing!

The boys were: in constant battle with each other. (nothing new there)

My husband was: absent most of the time when I wasn’t.

The thing I’ll remember most from this month was:
-Rob in the hospital
-fun time with Drew for his 14th bday
-Rob’s 1st time working Emmaus and all the driving I did that weekend

Questions I’ve pondered are:
Why am I so unmotivated in this new year?
What can I do to change it?

Feel free to answer these questions at the end of each month yourself! I’d love to come see your month in summary. 🙂
